Exactly how revamped is GTA V?

GTA fans were delighted to hear that the latest addition to the iconic franchise was being revamped into 1080p this year.

But just how much difference does it make to the play? Let's explore...

Enhanced visuals

As expected, the game is a joy to look at. On top of what was an already aesthetically beautiful game, the diverse terrain of GTA V takes on an all-new dimension of realism.

Let the video below demonstrate the extent of graphic improvement.

GTA V (PS3 v PS4)

First-person view

You can view the amazing environment, and play the entire game through the eyes of the three characters. Branching out the gameplay to a first-person shooter adventure whenever you wish, which presents new challenges and adjustments in return.

Increased player cap online

Plenty of time can be spent on GTA online already, but by increasing the player cap to up to 30, the online play benefits from greater participation amongst friends and online communities.

New challenges for returning players

Returning to the game will not mean you have to simply face the same old challenges. There will be a number of new open-world encounters. Completion of these new challenges will unlock rewards such as the Dodo seaplane and Duke O' Death motor car.

New vehicles

Several new vehicles will be included, for the road and the air, including the Cheval Monster Truck (pictured above).

New weapons

New firearms will be at your disposal: a Hatchet and a Rail Gun - the kind of Rail Gun you'd expect to see in a sci-fi movie!

If that wets your appetite for the next-gen version, you'll be glad to know there are plenty more surprises which haven't been included in this list.
