Exactly how revamped is GTA V?

GTA fans were delighted to hear that the latest addition to the iconic franchise was being revamped into 1080p this year.

But just how much difference does it make to the play? Let's explore...

Enhanced visuals

As expected, the game is a joy to look at. On top of what was an already aesthetically beautiful game, the diverse terrain of GTA V takes on an all-new dimension of realism.

Let the video below demonstrate the extent of graphic improvement.

GTA V (PS3 v PS4)

First-person view

You can view the amazing environment, and play the entire game through the eyes of the three characters. Branching out the gameplay to a first-person shooter adventure whenever you wish, which presents new challenges and adjustments in return.

Increased player cap online

Plenty of time can be spent on GTA online already, but by increasing the player cap to up to 30, the online play benefits from greater participation amongst friends and online communities.

New challenges for returning players

Returning to the game will not mean you have to simply face the same old challenges. There will be a number of new open-world encounters. Completion of these new challenges will unlock rewards such as the Dodo seaplane and Duke O' Death motor car.

New vehicles

Several new vehicles will be included, for the road and the air, including the Cheval Monster Truck (pictured above).

New weapons

New firearms will be at your disposal: a Hatchet and a Rail Gun - the kind of Rail Gun you'd expect to see in a sci-fi movie!

If that wets your appetite for the next-gen version, you'll be glad to know there are plenty more surprises which haven't been included in this list.

6 Accessories that your PS4 probably needs

If you're wondering to yourself just how gaming can get any better than the current PS4 experience, the good news is that Sony's latest entertainment system is still in its infancy.

Even better news is that you can add the following accessories to your machine now without having to wait on any further console updates.

PDP Afterglow Kral headset

For those of you looking for a combination of sound quality and style in your gaming headphones, this headset will satisfy. The PDP Afterglow Kral features a retractable noise-cancelling microphone with audio monitoring technology, an extremely comfortable set of cushioned ear pads and 100 ft of wireless technology. This can be used on PS4, PC and mobile devices too.

The retro package

Whether or not you were lucky enough to acquire one of the 12,300 Anniversary PS4s released in December should have no baring on your decision to buy these beautiful anniversary accessories.

If one is willing to fork out, then one will be aesthetically pleased with the classic Grey Dual Shock 4 (£42.00) and wireless headset (£66.00) - the perfect sprinkling of nostalgia to add to your gaming experience.

Thrustmaster VG T300RS Racing Wheel

This version of the Thrustmaster is the best PS4 racing wheel available to date. Take DriveClub for a spin behind this wheel, and you will never want to try another racing game without it again!

Costly at £260.00, but certainly a great a investment for the petrol head gamers of this world.

Elgato Game Capture HD60

Savor your finest moments, from a world class FIFA goal to a COD kill worthy of a national call-up. The Elgato Hame Capture HD60 will capture your most impressive achievements, allowing you to live stream them via Twitch, and directly upload them to Youtube, Twitter or Facebook. The device records in 1080p HD at 60FPS - priced at around £120.00.

Gioteck RC1 Soundsystem/ Gaming Beanbag

A true gamer deserves a true throne to game from, or in this case, beanbag.

The comfort, and relatively ease of storage and transport make it a superior place to park your backside over most gaming chairs. It also has a built in sound system, with audio control panel that allows for further input/ output jacks.

This ranks at the lower end of the gamer chair market price, available for around £45.00.

The Playstation 4 camera

Rather annoyingly, this does not come packaged with the PS4 already. But without the Playstation 4 Camera, you are missing out on a whole host of games and interactive fun, so it is a purchase that should probably be made at some point.

With the camera you can also broadcast your game playing prowess live on Twitch to anyone that might care to watch it.

The accessories listed here are all fairly practical and not so revolutionary, but without a doubt they will enhance your game playing experience in one way or another.
